Sour bus driver?

She's suing?... for what? I'm sure that she parked illegally will come up.

I'll give a more useful answer this time. The worst that can happen, IMO, from her being parked illegally is that council officials can use the CCTV footage to issue her with a fixed penalty notice.

Irrespective of the legality of a parked vehicle you can't go plowing into them with impunity. The bus driver is at fault for the accident therefore its reasonable that the costs of repairing or replacing the Porsche will be met by the bus drivers insurance company.

As for sue, whilst technically you would sue somebody for this the insurance system means that in reality this doesn't really happen (Unless its disputed and gets taken to court obviously) so its probably crap reporting by everyones favourite text covered toilet roll.

:confused::confused::confused:

Clearly the Porsche wouldn't have been hit if it wasn't there, but that's hardly the point. The bus driver was clearly out of control veering across the road at that speed and would still have taken out the bus stop.

OTOH I'm not feeling particularly sorry for the stupid bint in the Boxster.

He would have crashed into the bus stop, but what i'm saying is, she has no right to sue the bus driver, she was illegally parked, therefore she has no one to blame but herself for any endangerment or such.
The bus driver made a mistake, drivers occasionally make those mistakes seeing as we're not robots, usually we just about get away with making mistakes, or they're harmless, this bus driver was just unlucky he made that mistake.
He is at fault, but she's clearly just being a arrogant *****, like she's royalty and to crash into her car is a crime.

Thankfully our laws disagree with you. You are completely 100% wrong. It may be your opinion that its unfair she is able to sue the bus driver, but it is wrong to state she has no right.

She has every right, just as you have right to claim off somebody who pulls out of a junction into your path when you are driving at 5mph over the speed limit.

You'd not be bothered if somebody crashed into your car

I wouldn't be happy but I wouldn't sue them, especially not if i was clearly an accident and I was parked illegally. I'd claim my insurance and be on my way making sure the other driver was ok.

It's not like a bus driver drove into her in a carpark on purpose is it? She's just being an arrogant ***** or trying to make a quick buck at some poor bus drivers expense. Probably making him bankrupt and tearing his family apart.

Have you any idea how this sort of thing works? Why will it bankrupt him and tear his family apart? What are you prattling on about?

His insurance company will pay

Technically speaking you sue the third party for negligence and their insurer meets the cost of the claim.

If the air head hadn't parked on yella's she'd still be doing her hair in the mirror of her Pork while chatting to the girls on her pink iPhone! Bus drivers are ALL smelly porn collectors and bad driving is Part 1 of how to be a bus driver training.

Today I will mostly be making sweeping statements.

I've never driven a bus, i don't know how their insurance works, or whether it provides legal cover?

His insurance company will pay out for damage but if she's sueing him as well, i would have thought without legal cover included he has to pay it himself?
It says in the article she is sueing him.

Heh, tickled my bristles :p

You are getting to wound up with the wording. It's probably an over-enthusiastic Sun writer anyway but its him who caused the damage not his insurer. You therefore sue him BUT your insurer pays out.

Thats how insurance works. You don't need 'legal cover' and he wont need to go to court either (Unless the police prosecture him seperately).

Fox I think the point you're trying to make is a simple one.

The Sun say 'sue' when they mean 'claim off bus insurance' to make it more hatred provoking as The Sun loves to do.

Of course, there could have been one or more passengers in the Boxster, and the bus driver would never have been able to see them. Woud there be a different outcome if there were, and they were subsequently injured?

Look at the potential risks that the action caused.

I loved the beer garden part... where was the beer garden ? In the middle of the road next to the other bus it was going towards ?
