South Park

They went pretty far on some of the jokes in this special this time, kinda surprised they didnt get in trouble for some of it. Still good but i kinda wish they stopped doing relevant today stuff and did their own stories like in early seasons.

It wouldn't work if they did that these days, the core audience has grown up now and those jokes would fall flat.
So it's best to laugh at all the stupid stuff that's going on in life.

Nah, the "selling out" of a certain character really hit the spot. It did a pretty good job (as usual) of being a bang on commentary of the ridiculousness of the divisions of societies as a whole and our spiralling into intolerance based on group memberships (politics, age, beliefs, race etc etc).

I love South Park for this. I've grown up with the show and glad that (for me) it's not stayed as it originally was. The characters have stayed the same, but the targets have evolved.

Also appreciated the new disclaimer ;)

Do I have to visit high seas to watch this?

I guess that depends if you actually subscribe to any service that carries South Park. If you're a Sky customer for example, you'll be watching it tonight.
But if you don't subscribe to anything then yes, I suspect you'll have to freeload it.

Ah perfect. I'm a Sky customer so I have my Friday viewing sorted. Thanks

I watched the first Pandemic special last night for the first time. I was literally laughing out loud at Randy's little flashbacks.

It seems like South Park might be doing episodes across the year rather than hashing together a weekly episode which used to vary in quality. I'm game if they decide to do that.

So longer seasons? Like they used to be per year? Or stupidly small like 10 eps a year (split 5 then 5 later) and a special/movie which wont be a big budget one like the 99 film.

If they can do about 16-20 eps a year in one go not split, and decent films with big budgets, then i would be pleased. Tho i miss the old seasons style of sp and not really into sp thats based on current events, i used to like their own universe events based eps.
