I just loved the Chiggy von Richthofen episodes.

The interlacing scenes between the US Marine pilot's funeral with the chaplain quoting the bible and McQueen battling the Chig supership alone makes me tingle. Fantastic stuff.

Why did they ever cancel that show ?

as i'm sure you know,B5 had the JPL as technical advisors so the combat sequences actually factored in minor things like inertia and gravity.
the same things that Star Trek tends to ignore incidentally.

if any of the members that have bought S:AAB on DVD could either post the store links or mail the addy in my trust with them should this break OcUK rules,i'd be v.grateful.

Does anyone know what year it first started on sky one, id like to know how old i was when i watched it

i can hardly remember it.. did they ever fight on planets with aliens? what did they look like

cool serise,
iirc the clifhanger at the end was them all in a troop transport shooting at HUGE numbers of aliens while falling towards a planet

also, iirc, the same writer did Starship Troopers.

there are some books and bits avail on amazon (inc some new/used DVDs) but theres never been and will not be a region 1 release.

I'd love to see this serise back on, but we are at saturation point for Sci Fi atm,
Stargate A/SG1 and BS:G have the market cornered, when we lose BS:G between S1 and S2 I wonder if a heavy spamming of fox would help bring this classic serise back to life, but I doubt it

It was on BBC2 wasn't it?

1996 was the production year, so probably then or 1997.

1996 - I was living in Germany at the time and watched it on Sky One when it originally aired (It got shown a few years later on BBC2).
