Space Hulk: Deathwing

I never bought the first version but the EE has peeked my interest, might pick it up tonight as a impulse purchase.

Installing whilst I wait for Ancestors Legacy release..

Really hope this gives the game a decent injection of replayability and it doesn't fall flat again.

Played this last night, not expecting much, and you know what? I think they did it. I wanted to play more!

Runs much better, more variety of enemies, feels a lot more frantic, and a nice balance between functional and cosmetic upgrades.

Watched a guy who's very into the Warhammer games and asked him about it, said if you didn't own either this or Vermitide 2 get Vermitide 2, even with the changes to the EE he claims Vermitide would be the better more fun game?

I do like a WH40k game, and the original was on my radar until the reviews were less than complimentary.

What's the general consensus on the Enhanced Edition?

If you are a 40k fan, you should buy it just to see how well they've realised the environments and atmosphere. It's not going to be GotY or anything, but it's good fun and fairly intense in MP.

Much as I'm a 40k guy through and through, vermintide 2 is a better game, yes.

Been playing through the campaign in coop with friends since EE release, and the more I play it, the more I enjoy it. The story is great, its like being able to step into one of the books, and by god did they nail the aesthetic.

Now that it runs well, there are persistent unlocks to strive for, and enemies are more diverse (and numerous it feels), I think I can genuinely recommend it.

FYI, it really benefits from being on a SSD. Made a huge difference to loading times.

Currently playing chaplain and have poured points into the mk2 storm bolter (clip size and accuracy) and spear of caliban (fast charge cell). It's taking all my restraint not to spend my hard earned XP on cosmetics.

I've got my hands on this after finding a decent price online.

It's really good but is it just me or is it really tough to play solo? I've failed missions more often than I've completed them - and there's no letup sometimes. Maybe I'm just getting old... :D

Single player wise, it depends what difficulty you playing on. Nightmare is almost impossible and takes very careful planning and knowing the tricks of the map, plus using OP weapons.
