Spanish Grand Prix 2016, Catalunya - Race 5/21

Because he is behind and the space wasn't going to be there when he arrived

The space was there and he took the space. Rosberg continued to move over when there was no space.

If Hamilton wanted to reduce risk, then yes he might anticipate Rosberg might unfairly keep moving over forcing him off. But I don't see why he has to accept that.

Yet the same people will defend Hamilton when he runs a driver off the track. For the record I hate that sort of stuff, even on a corner you should have to leave a cars width. No car should have to leave the track.

That said it's a beautiful piece of karma with the Hamilton fans usually defending Hamilton running a car past the limits of the race track.

I did think that. Hamilton has done exactly the same in past

But its now more than likely Rosberg will get some sort of grid position punishment at the next race.

With the Stewards we have, and a couple of hours for Mercedes to come up with a story of what happened to feed them, I'm hardly expecting anything to come from it.

The thing is if rosberg was any good he could've just let Hamilton out break himself due to the speed an inside line and took the place back on the next corner. The problem is though, he's ****. I can guarantee if that was Hamilton trying to go past a ricciardo, alonso, button etc in the same situation that wouldn't have happened.

This rule was specifically written after Rosberg did this exact thing twice in Bahrain a few hers back.

Bit of a combination of circumstance that whole situation, doubt Hamilton would have been so desperate to get past if he hadn't have been so far behind in the championship. He knew he couldn't let Nico win again.

As it is it could have been a lot worse, least he wiped Nico out on his way out, we'll go to Monaco with the massive needle back for the rest of the season again so should be some entertainment to come :p

Multiple times, you reap what you sow. The rest of the ****s think they have to get mega aggressive in return as the only option. Once a wheel is alongside you should never be able to close the gap regardless, I have argued that for years that modern F1 drivers feel so secure in their tubs that they think that's acceptable. Senna and Schumacher led the way and the others follow, Hamilton included.

Ok, based on those screen shots and the sporting regulation, I stand corrected - Roaberg shouldn't have closed the door like that.

However, I still don't think Lewis should have tried to go on the inside so aggressively.
