I think you misunderstand my meaning. I dont mean he is a bad driver but that he hasnt been able to realise his potential and has been 'stagnating' in a team where he has no chance and no real future.

I happen to think Alonso is one of the best F1 drivers ever. As I have said, he would be getting podiums if he had the car.

That's fair. Though I'd have called it fairer to say that McLaren are stagnating (indeed, pretty much going backwards) rather than Alonso. He's clearly still trying, even though it's hardly worth it.
 

It was a great lap, as expected they lose out in S1 mainly but rest of the lap is pretty close, which shows the chassis and his driving is very good. Still need moar power :o

Very true. If he was in a top team I reckon he has another world championship or two in him before he retires from F1. He is certainly showing his class in that McLaren even if he isnt in a competetive car.

DC made a comment on C4 highlights that Alonso can find tenths in places most other drivers cant even see. I tend to agree!

Noticed that Merc have changed the driver name/number layout on the fin.

Now just have the number larger and the flag. No longer have the TLA.

Wasn't sure if Martin was genuinely saying he was interested in buying Force India or they were laughing about a silly rumour!

Guess it's not beyond the realm of possibility what with Mallyas legal trouble.
 
There's a rumour Brabham may be returning after a buyout of Force India. Nothing concrete.

Mallyas arrest, Brabham supposedly releasing a new supercar a la McLaren, and rumours of a buyout for 150m, way under the asking.

If Martin is bringing it up, I guess it's not totally ludicrous.
