That would have given Bottas the lead. The advantage of having the second driver not too far behind.

True. But you've already seen Hamilton pit so surely it wouldn't be out of the realms of possibility that Bottas would have to as well. I mean, he pitted first out of the three of them so had the oldest tyres from that point of view.

So where exactly is Redbull faster right now? They couldn't pull away on the soft tyre at all, nowhere near on the mediums and massively behind on the hards based on the last two races.

This is looking pretty bad from neutral viewpoint

Alonso and Stroll summoned to the Stewards

Ricciardo in good spirits... or maybe been at the good spirits.... :D

Bottas was apparently the only person overtaken at Turn 10. And it was by his teammate and without DRS.

Oops.

They seem to have better starts and are closer in qualifying? Race pace needs work though... It could get even worse for RB as Mercedes get on top of their pre season issues from the mini rule changes for this year.

Mazepin was 49.8s behind Schumacher.

And came 4th with 7% of the DotD vote?!
He's a vote meme now, all sorts of social media 'campaigns' to vote for him each week now.

Supposedly that's why the announcement was delayed last race - Mazepin actually won the vote

Yawn. Another boring race.

Another quiet but successful race for Leclerc, Ric finally on form and Perez is handy in the race too. Once he gets his Saturdays sorted he'll be up there with Bottas at least.

Also every time Crofty mentions Russell and points something happens.
Really? I thought it was quite enjoyable!

That was pretty dull for the most part. If RB pitted Max following Lewis, we'd have watched a good fight to the end. He showed at the start that they'd keep pace when ahead, which he would have been.*

*unless they botched the tyre change

He just said on Sky that he didn't let Lewis through at the earliest opportunity. He was focussed on his own race.

"I'm not here to let people by, I'm here to race"

He screws his own race early on, then he’s so bitter he hurts both his own race even further and that of his teammate who has the chance of the win. Kicking him out by the end of the season is back on the table I reckon. Such a waste of a seat.
