Spec help please

It wouldn't hurt to grab a few 45 and 90 degree fittings, the ek rotarys are pretty good and cheap :)

Should make tube routing easier with a tidy finish.

Cheers Optima. I didn't know if it was different as it is a different 680 design :)

Yep same sli bridge. They use a standard connection/terminal system across the range.

Side note: idk if you can mix and match different cards/waterblocks (i.e. one lightning block and one ref 680 block. not sure if the terminals line up. Not an issue for you but might be for others.

Cheers guys and I pulled the plug on that little lot. I have £100 set aside for any extras I need, so when the GPU blocks come, I will probably order those angled fittings.

I imagine there is a fair amount of weight on the cards once the blocks come, I take it this is normal and no need to start putting hangers or anything?

Nah just make sure the card is sat as straight as you can before you clamp in the PCI plates in place. The backplate should prevent any sagging. My Lightning + Waterblock must weigh a good 3-4KG's its an absolute monster.

Always handy to keep some spare, I found the bitspower multi rotarys very handy too as they can adjust to any angle from 0-90 degrees :D

Chip memory and motherboard arrived yet?

Yep, got all those and can't wait to get stuck in. I have to wait in for the Lamptron controller to turn up but when it does, I will go and buy a few litres of de-ironized water (not sure on spelling) to flush the rads.

If you have an In-excess store near you, they sell 5ltrs for £1.75, cheapest anywhere I've seen, just bought some myself :)

I think with the amount I have spent on my computer recently, the Mrs loves shopping at Tesco (about a 30 min drive from me). I think I can kill 2 birds with one stone here and go with her and pick up some from there and actually make out I am only there for her :D

Cheers. Delivery between 11:31 and 12:31 so will be getting stuck in straight away. I wont have the GPU blocks till around the 15th, so they will have to wait but I am quite happy to try the CPU first and gain some experience that way. I am a little worried about draining the system down to put the GPU blocks in but I am sure it will be fine.

I have my camera at the ready :)
