Spec me a build

HAHAHA! i got ripped to shreds and told i was "wasting" money because i told him to go a little extra for more watts and modular! now its all hunky dory cuz sum1 else has said it.

That's not quite the case is it? You were disagreed with, not 'ripped to shreds' because you barelled into a £500 spec-me thread where every £ was accounted for and said 'way-hey get an x-fire mobo (for that nvidia GPU) and a modular PSU cos they're the latest thing innit'. Even though that went over budget despite using a worse GPU than more 'sensible' specs.

The only reason a modular PSU came up again was because the OP was questioning whether the recommended one would be powerful enough (it would) and what is available if he needs to spend a bit more (doesn't imho), and there happened to be a modular on offer among the suggestions. It's not all about you.

Welcome back anyway :)

this is just wrong. u make it sound like i speced a £650 rig for him. i was £535 at the very most and it included a better psu and better board with crossfire option. the reason:
i didnt believe the "future new build" was ever going to happen because of Scones responces and indecision. it just seemed like a dream to me. so i decided to spec him sumthing he can add to with 2nd hand hardware atleast.

since this build has went dead and hes disappeared it looks like i was right.
i worked this guy out and you never.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!! What did you go for in the end? A bundle or you gonna overclock yourself?

Good luck with the build.

Watching wot was said after my posts wer deleted is STUNNING!!
on sum things you would think i had yous under mind control because
you sounded like a jakesnake parrot.

lol at this build. Are we there yet?
Seriously jake. What are you...12 years old? I bet you didn't bothered reading through the thread properly. The only reason we discussed about 'may be' worth considering a 500W over the Corsair CX400W was because there was a Gigabyte GTX460 1GB going for cheap, and also taking possible unlocking of cores on the Phenom II X2 plus overclocking both CPU and graphic card, and Scone was considering may be getting that instead of the GTX460 768MB. For a i3 530 overclocked build however the Corsair CX400W is more than enough.

Unlike you who just post whatever you feel like posting and making a scene (attention wh0re much?), we were posting "options" for Scone to consider with this best interest in mind. It's his money so he need to weight and compare the options available to him, and decide for himself which option best suit his taste, needs and budget.

But since you seem like a self-centered individual, I wouldn't expect you to understand that.

i feel i have to drop down and explain myself everytime to you. its getting so boring now so im just gonna leave it.

well after all the effort to get him on the best possible path "imo AMD PhenomII" for excellent future budget upgrades hes done yet another U turn and went for a "discontinued" i3 bundle.

enjoy

Add: and how can you make comments on age? i show my age, you dont. are you 15 or a grumpy old man lol?

Not "discontinued" in the sense you are thinking wise guy. At the little profit that OcUK doing that bundle at, I'm surprised they even bothered at all, as most overclock bundle they charge like £30-£50 premium.

jakesnake
"discontinued" doesnt mean it wont work or wont meet his needs.
no point arguing about it now, hes already bought it, his probably playing with it as we speak.
and by the time he "needs" to upgrade it im sure he will be able to afford a new board, cpu and other things

AMD build: phenom II quad and hex cores
Intel build: i5 7xx and i7 8xx

Swings and roundabouts - both good. What will more than likely happen in a few years? Sell and buy whatever else is out by then. OP has the best performance he could afford right now. The future will bring what the future brings. Very little point planning far ahead with PC hardware imho.

and in future i will upgrade to what i want jakesnake or even build another no one knows (not even me).
