Spec me a build

noooooooooooooooo need to order!!! but im hearing that i need 450w or more to run it???
Total system consumption even at running furmark is only 331W on a standard non-overclocked system:

And the Corsair CX400W are stressed tested in review to be able to output 450W without problem:

kk thanks what if i did overclock
450W-331W=119W

So you still 119W marginal left for the extra power consumption on the overclock (and bare in mind in real world gaming, it's doesn't draw as much power as in running stress test like furmark). But of course, I'd recommend getting a branded 500W PSU if possible, considering you would probably be overclocking the GTX460 as well.

could anyone spec me a 500w or more more to fit my build 50£ more or less
For low budget, you really only got these two to choose from:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-045-OC&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1098
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-037-OC&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1098

Between the two, I'd pay the £10 extra for the higher efficiency and modular cable of the ModXstream...but if you really want to save £10, then go for the SteathXStream.

modular is cable mangement right?

Look back at that Hardware secrets review - the CX400 actually delivered 484W - it's a little beast and more than enough for a single 460 build, even OCd. The OCZ stealthextreme 500 shutdown at bang on 500 so doesn't really offer anything more. The modextreme does well and is probably worth its money, but it really pushes your budget and you dont really need it. If you can stretch to it and really want a modular, then fine.

Yay - a 10-page spec me!:)

Generally specking, the CX400W would be more than enough. What worries me is that if he is oh-so-lucky to unlock the two working cores, and then overclocking it to 3.8GHz~ on 1.45V vcore (yea damn Phenom II Quad overclocking need high vcore), plus with the GTX460 overclocking to 850MHz might become too much for the CX400W...

Edited:
Just did a run on the Antec Power Supply Calculator, using estimate of Phenom II 965BE (they don't have 955BE in list) overclocked to 3.8GHz using 1.45V vcore, a stock GTX470 (substitute of overvolted and overclocked GTX460 1GB), one DVD RW ROM, one SATA HDD, five 120mm LED fans...the "Recommended Minimum PSU Wattage" work out to be 454W. So the CX400 would definitely be fine if not overclocking, but if overclock with similiar to my estimate above, then it might be cutting a bit close to CX400's max output...

470 is a power hungry beast and even an overclocked 460 will use a lot less power. I used this calculator...

http://www.raptoxx.com/calculator.php#calcpsu

...which has the 955 125W and the 460. Even both overclocked max gaming draw comes to 391. I'm feel the CX400 would do the job. Definately dont get the stealthextreme 500 anyway as it's no better than the CX400. Maybe go for the Cooler Master GX 550 or the OCZ modextreme 500 if you're concerned about the CX400.

HAHAHA! i got ripped to shreds and told i was "wasting" money because i told him to go a little extra for more watts and modular! now its all hunky dory cuz sum1 else has said it.

Watching wot was said after my posts wer deleted is STUNNING!!
on sum things you would think i had yous under mind control because
you sounded like a jakesnake parrot.

lol at this build. Are we there yet?

jakesnake
