I have one of the thermal/water proof M&S coat which is actually too warm. It’s a tad bulky though.

My TM Lewin wool long jacket is still my go to. Was about £200 I think at the time. Smart, not bulky, warm.

Jaw drop! Mind you, I'm a stingy old fart who thinks £50 for a winter jacket is a rip off. Me and my wallet definitely do not like this century.
