Having both a dehumidifier and a heatpump dryer, the heatpump dryer uses less electric to dry the same amount of clothing, faster as well.Out of interest what's more cost effective, a clothes drier or handing washing in front of the dehumidifier?

Depends. If you have central heating and a compressor dehumidifier I doubt you’ll dry clothes cheaper. If you don’t and you have the money for a heat pump tumble dryer then that may well be the better option.Having both a dehumidifier and a heatpump dryer, the heatpump dryer uses less electric to dry the same amount of clothing, faster as well.
Looks like my dehumidifier has maybe finally bitten the bullet. A ebac homedry xl. Been fine for a long time. But sometimes I've noticed over last few days. Coils on back not ice cold.
What recommendations are there for me, just for upstairs to get rid of the condensation on windows we seem to have first thing in the morning
Thank you
I recommend Meaco but finding stock is difficult at the moment.Looks like my dehumidifier has maybe finally bitten the bullet. A ebac homedry xl. Been fine for a long time. But sometimes I've noticed over last few days. Coils on back not ice cold.

I managed to pick up an Arete One 20L from Argos today (ordered on Friday), really impressed so far!I recommend Meaco but finding stock is difficult at the moment.
I didn't order from QVC as it says despatched directly from Meaco and they don't have stock.Well Meaco, Argos, John Lewis still have no stock of this. Meaco have told me that they released their stock on Friday and it went within hours. That's a load of rubbish, as I was refreshing the websites constantly all day and it never came into stock. I did see it momentarily pop up on Argos, but by the time I tried to check out it was gone. John Lewis has been continually out of stock from what I can see.
Meaco live chat have told me no more stock until January.
But QVC are still showing as in stock. I will be very surprised if my order gets fullfilled.
I don't know how long QVC have shown in stock on this item for - is it a recent thing or do they just show in stock on everything all the time whether it is or not. You're right it says 5-7 days direct from Meaco - but yes Meaco say they don't have stock. But I don't know if they know or not, because they said they released stock on Friday but I had website refreshing all day and didn't see it, and this was after their live chat told me their stock release would be this week. John Lewis hasn't released anything, Argos has released maybe a small handful of units.I didn't order from QVC as it says despatched directly from Meaco and they don't have stock.

Im surprised they are still showing as in stock as well. Do you know when QVC orders will be shipped?
Customer Service Advisor 01:52 PM
We will need to get the orders from them first so it is approx 5 to 7 working days.
Didn't know there was an 18L model. Costco needs a membership fee though right something like £40 a year?Costco shows the 18l Meaco as available *shrug*
