Spec me a derv

Well I have the 1.5 T Sport Yaris and it gets on average 37mpg. Also need some more space cause its not really a 5 seater car at all.

I was just saying that if I was wanting a saloon I wouldnt get that. Id either get an Accord cause I like the look of it. I wasnt saying that I would get a deisel saloon either. I have no need for saloon and till that point its pointless suggesting one.
 
Firstly Im geting bored of the Yaris and need soemthing a bit bigger and has more power.
Secondly 37mpg is good but when you can get more mpg from a derv it makes sense for me to sell up and buy something that bit better.

Well I assume you need boot spave cause you have a lot of stuff that you carry around.
 
But you can fit more into a five door hatchback than a saloon due to the parcel shelf. Hence why I ask as that doesn't seem the greatest argument.

Athough if you want a hatchback have a hatchback! :D

Or Audi A3/ Seat leon 1.9tdi.

Don't worry about the mileage, I've got the same engine with over 250k miles on and it's as tight as a drum still. 100k is just about broken in for those engines, you'll get 45mpg around town and 60-70mpg on the motorway with a bit of decent driving.

You'll get another 2 or so MPG from a 306DT.
What about a 206 HDI? Bit smaller, lighter, better economy and will prolly feel quicker than a 306 whilst being newer, in and out?
 
I was thinking about a Focus but I dont know anything about them and even thinking about Rove 25 and a 147.

I dont have faith in the 206 cause my mates blew up and he doesnt even know why.

I dont assume that its smaller just a Toledo is a big car compared to other hatches Ive been in, like a Golf, Focus, Rove 25, Clio, Tipo Turbo and 145

What a ridiculous thread.

A Toledo is not a big car, its built on the Golf. As for having no need for a saloon, well nobody does. A hatchback is more practical than a saloon - the saloon benefits are purely styling, reduced road noise etc and not more space.

But because most car buyers are daft and think a saloon is... Well what do they think, no idea, my saloon has less room in the boot than my old hatch, you can get them very cheap.

Why pay more for less?

Having no relative age limit but a mileage limit of 110k is silly.
