Title says it all really....spec me a gaming keyboard please! :D

I have the razer deathadder mouse, and I know Razer do keyboards. Are they any good?

Cheers ;)

A what? :/

Just buy any decent keyboard. Dont pay extra for some lamer marketing ploy that plastic silk buttons decrease friction and allow you to mash wasd quicker and harder for longer. :/

I agree with ibot, in that I found no difference between my PCline keyboard and my Saitek Eclipse in feel. I do agree that there is a small difference in quality and finish, but they all seem to wear and key press feel and positiveness are much alike.

Try and few in a shop and compare...

a proper gaming keyboard has larger buttons and a proper gaming layout and the Zboard series are the only ones that have them

have had a zboard for nearly 3 years and wouldnt go back - but they do look geeky as you cant really pass them off as typical boards lol.

I have a Saitek Eclipse. The only thing I don't like about it is the paint on some of the keys is coming off (started to come off after a month or so). It's not bad enough to be an issue, but it is there. Other than that, great keyboard and well priced imo.

I think that a gaming keyboard is one that actually gives you some benefit in gaming...and the only ones to do this are really the G15's with the LED display. I like mine due to being a BF fan...gives me all my stats etc. as well as the temspeak plugin thats handy. Apart form that..its just a fancy keyboard.

Bought a Logitech G11, got it second hand for around £28. Really nice keyboard. i use the Macro keyboard a lot and can be set differant for differant games which is bonus, especially for MMORPG games.

I wouldnt suggest paying too much though as the lower end keyboards do thend to feel the same as the higher end.

Main reason i bought the G11 for was Keybinds and the illuminated keyboard and layout, i find it very nice to use, especially nice when considering i used to use a 7 year old OEM HP keyboard.

I second the Zboard - on my second as I managed to tip a whole can of Coke over it, which it valiantly coped with (it even has a little drain on it for spills!) but eventually gave up the ghost.

Some keyboards are ridiculously overpowered - how many macro keys do you really need? But the Zboard is solid, responsive and has everything you need. The Saitek keyboards are also worth a look.

I don't know if it is any better for gaming than others but I have the Saitek Eclipse 2 and I find it very comfortable to use and it looks great. Here it is in all its colours, blue, red, purple and off:

As many as you want to use, i will be using keybinds for Age of conan, photoshop and i use them when editing videos. Their very handy when you have them and dont realise how usefull they are untill you start using them.

<3 my G15. Shows all my WoW BG stats, lets me set up as many macros as I could ever need, and I can mess about with my music player and MSN from the LCD display. No more alt-tabbing out for me!

Very much like my G11.
No other kb in it's price range with backlightning and media keys, wich are essential imo.
Macro keys are quite nice and useful too.

EDIT: woot? Saitek eclipse 2 has media keys? I didn't know !
Go for that then :).

I have a Razer Tarantula.. And In my opinion it was a waste of money.. I dont see anything different to a normal keyboard.. and I never use the macro buttons.
