Spec me an LED Torch

5D3 yup but the lens gives the picture that look. I used the Sigma 35mm 1.4.

I've got a Solarforce L2N on the way with a Triple XP-G2 to drop in it.

That sounds epic, mine is running the xpg as well but with a different op reflector. Do you have a link to the triple?

The first run is all sold out and i think they said they won't be available for another 6 weeks, links are at the bottom of the first post in this thread:

Cheers will keep an eye on it :D

Looks like it's only the tail of that torch that is HAIII anodised. Goes to show how well it stands up to abuse compared to the standard anodising.

I thought that as well. No complaints though really, the "battle scar" look is kind of neat :p

The new XM-L2 gives 116 lumens per watt.

Thanks, form that also saw these, but I can't do electronics. Can anyone explain the data sheet to me?

Why the 25 & 85c values?
On the relative spectral distribution chart, I assume those lines directly correspond with the relative K led?

I assume the jo (easy white at 85c) gives a minimum of 1040 lumens? But what is the watt draw for it?
And what's two step/4 step in the table?

I got new addition to my " herd" today the Zebralight SC52. 280lm off a AA but if you use a 14500 it jumps up to 500lm on turbo. Very impressive for it's size as it's tiny.

I've had a Fenix LD10 for a few years now - excellent it is too. However, they aren't cheap at some £30+!

I'd like to get a big brother, something like the LD25 or LD40, not cheap. Looking on eBay there are various unbranded things that claim high specs at low prices - are there any worth buying? Failing that, any other makes that have products similar to the AA Fenix for a lower price?
