Fenix have just launched the LD40 - looks very good and uses 4xAA. Also just launched the LD25 - uses 2xAA for a slimline light.

I own the following:-
Fenix TA30, Quark 1232 Ti, Quark AA2, Quark AA2 Turbo Quark 1232 Turbo, Quark 123 Ti, Quark AA Ti, MiNi AA WW, MiNi CR2, ITP A3 EOS, MG PLI, MG P-Rocket, MG L-Mini II, Romisen RC-N3 II, Romisen RC-A4 II, Akoray K-106 (x2), Akoray K-109.
I'd say the Quark AA2 or Turbo also fits your requirements (depending if you want a flood or throw beam.

Single AA lights could also be an option - but they aren't as bright (you could run them on 14500 Li-ion rechargeables though).

I love my Ti Quark AA
Whatever torch you get - don't rrun them on Alkalines - run them on Energizer Lithiums or Eneloops of you want to use rechargeables.
The LD20 is a lot smaller and cheaper though and only uses 2AAs. Does anyone know why the LD20 Q5 is the same price as the R4? The lumens on the Q5 is 25 less but it uses a 'Cree Premium Q5 LED' instead of the Cree XP-G LED like on the R4. Is the Cree Premium Q5 LED better or something?
Fenix never drop the prices of their old lights! Besides, the XR-E Q5 light will throw further as it's a smaller die size - the XP-G R4 lights has a larger die size so whilst it's more efficient and bright for the same amp draw, the "hot spot" will not be as focused, so will be a floody type beam rather than a thrower - some people like flood, some people light throwers, so the Q5 lights will keep selling.

That's nowhere near the worlds most powerful flashlight. I think we're up to 8000 lumens now.

And a useful 1hr run time.
