Spec me an LED Torch

Just want a super bright bad ass 18650 torch for general use. I live in the sticks and do walk in the hills and down the river at night sometimes. Looking for the cat. Scaring trespassers. Impressing people. May well go on the mountain bike as well as you can buy a mount. Money not a concern, just good.

Don't tempt me. I'm trying to reform my importy, tax-dodging ways! :-) And I'm still very happy with my Nitecore TIP, which suits my pocket better. Mind you, I have lost the plastic cover from the buttons somehow which makes it... well, makes no difference whatsoever, actually. But torch envy doesn't respect rationality!

I really need to stop clicking on this topic every time it surfaces. No good ever comes of it. I reckon it's a caveman thing. Light/fire... it's vital for keeping the tribe safe. So it's almost a civic duty to have an infinite supply of lumens in your pocket.
 
I've never owned a 18650 based torch.

Firstly, can anyone recommend a decent supplier/brand for the batteries and charger? Probably after four.

Secondly, can anyone recommend a first torch based on this battery? I'm typically used to 1xAA torches from Fenix and unbranded eBay.

I get all of my batteries from Fogstar. They normally sell to vapers but they are a very well respected company and sell just about every type of large rechargeable batteries along with very good 4 port chargers.

Edit: You'll need to supply your own USB wall power brick for the high amp chargers but they are cheap on that website which must not be named but appears to have a river running through it.

Ditto, always buy my battery stuff from them. Make sure you sign up for their emails and you will get 20% off on Fridays.

14k lumens from 1 LED seems an ambitious target but that is a lot of battery power? Heat seems to be a bit of an issue with FT03 I got, bit of rubber to hold on the outside wouldnt be a bad idea though I guess covers can be added.

Might be nice sale, think I want a higher capacity 26650 as the 21700 lasting longer would be nice; any recommendations? Not a fan of the blinking it does as battery empties, the volt check is useful and is there one for temp maybe.
 
Evening all, looking for advice.

My police issue torch is pants so looking to get something a bit better however I'm really not looking to spend much.

Looking in Amazon you can get 'tactical torches' from as low as £6.99. I just want a bright torch that is small in size.

Price wise I'm not looking to spend a great deal. Is it possible to get an acceptable torch for no more that £15?

I may look into a slightly bigger torch around Xmas time which I can keep in my kit bag bit for now wanting to look at something which will give me a decent light output.

I've recently transferred to a more rural location as I found out last night in the middle of nowhere I was left a little short sighted with the police issue torch. Not ideal single crewed!
