Genuinely though, I'll throw my hand in.

I've had a clean record for a few years now after a specific mod left, happy to contribute to the forums as its far nicer than social media and I enjoy some of the interactions.

OK who was the guy with the birds and the kfc he must be up there Tony someone

You want the full Tony Williams experience. ;)

I vote for @mrk - he seems like a very decent guy and I think would be a valuable asset to the community.

You really want someone who wears t-shirts like this to wield that much power over everyone?! :D

I got a t-shirt:

Clearly his judgement is suspect and he can’t be trusted. :p

Yea it was.

I remember it well. It was one of many things caseking decided to do, removing RJK, Acemodder, myself, Nathwraith to name a few… essentially Spies staff and dons.

There will be threads about it all somewhere in the dons area.

There were others removed too and then others put in place because of casekings belief that it would better suit the business. Essentially the purchasing team at the time were removed bar Gibbo.

One of the many reasons I and others left and then did very little with the forums following that.
Erm, you're a mile off AM.

2-3 shop Dons stepped down that I would still happily have on the team.

I think you got removed as you did bugger all. ;)

His posts weren't MOH-worthy. He wasn't in the running for it when he was living, no reason to give it to him after death. He had a good run.
I think that's subjective. I, and others, enjoyed reading his posts. If @Jean-F were to become MoH posthumously, would that be such a bad thing? I don't think it would. What it would be, though, is a nice mark of respect.

Enjoying reading somebody's posts is one thing, making a significant, consistent contribution to the community at large is another.

That's a very leading question. After people die, others tend to get compassionate and nostalgic. I actually blocked him pretty early on because of his consistent complaining and turning nearly every response into a barely-related story. I'm sure he was a really nice guy IRL etc, but I don't believe his posts were worthy of the MOH badge.

Again, that's subjective. I don't think it would be a bad thing. You clearly do; and of course you're entitled to think that. It's not so leading that we've arrived at polar opposites when it comes to opinions. I just think that compared to everything else going on in the world at the minute, a deceased forum member's avatar with a year banner across the bottom and a badge really isn't such a bad thing in the grand scheme of things.

Anyway, I just thought it would be a nice gesture. Luckily, it's not my decision to make.

All the purchasing team did plenty, perhaps being on the forums too much was the issue, who knows.

Anyway, this isn’t a grab at me rejoining but there are plenty of otherwise proven ex dons who were booted due to internal politics who would have likely and happily stayed who know exactly what they are doing that would be still be a benefit if the tinfoil hats didn’t come out during the take over. I think they would be great back at it. That’s all.

You don't know whether he was in the running for it or not.

This isn't the thread for MoH discussion really.

You may as well just give the MoH badge to anyone then.

This isn't the thread for MoH discussion really.

Fine.

@FBi7 @Feek etc is it time for another category specifically for members who contributed, have passed on like Jean-F but don't really warrant MoH status?

I think this is the only good post on this that I agree with. It would let posters know that someone has passed away and that they can give their sympathies in a designated thread if they wished to.
