Detecting of sarcasm is probably on the list of role requirements, so I think that maybe what tipped it away from you. In all other boxes I am sure you had them ticked! Good luck next time though.

I was an admin here (and a mod before that) for many years - it really is quite fun and rewarding (especially at some of the charity events and meets that used to occur regularly), also why my post count is ridiculous.

I'm not nominating myself, I don't have the time or the inclination to do it again but if you care about the community and want to help create some value and make this place a fun and safe space for discussion and friendships then I recommend it. Though being a UB sucks, compared to the slacking admins that take all the glory... :D

I dunno why this beef burger guy got such a repuation already, I agreed with his mcdonalds thread, personally dont think there was any racism at all.

And not, actually this time not being sarcastic.
 
+1 for Beef Burger, he may be extremely defensive, but he's got just the kind of firm hand we need to help guide the forum. If we have a war with a subreddit or other tech forum then he'll be invaluable.

There were a load of great ones that were oxuk staff that caseking in their wisdom decided to remove from the mod team as dons, even a couple who were dons before working at clockers.

Why don’t you get in touch with some of them and get them involved again as the dons they once were? I always thought the caseking decision was a bit odd as it reduced staff participation and negatively impacted deals and interest in the forums for a lot of them.
