Hi OCUK

Recently I have fallen in love with

-duvel
-hoegaarden grand cru
-kronenbourg blanc (long time fav)
-King Cobra
-Leffe blonde
-Leffe Triple

I also love my pills lager eg

-warsteiner
-becks

So as you can tell I like my strong drinks, although not ones that taste like white spirit. :D

So going off my tastes what beer from supermarkets or beersofeurope.com can or should I try, if I can get hold I will post feedback for people interested (possibly very few people but ah well ) :D

Hang on, before you buy there, places like Tescos sell the above. Weihenstephaner is a lovely wheat beer, superior to Erdinger too.

Yeah I will look around the local supermarkets, and as I work in central manchester I am sure there are good place nearby.:)

Desperado's!

First tasted it in France at a mexican... they kind of do it properley there. It's a light lager, with quite a bit of lemon squeezed in it and then a shot of tequilla. I love the stuff.

Only place i've ever found it is in Booths? I think it is. Only place i've seen booths is in the lake district area :p

/close thread.

Haha if I was on the dole or an alcoholic, then yes.

why not mate, could be fun, make a night of it trying out a few different beer/ales, you could find one you really enjoy.

Ok I will go out and get a few and try them throughout the week, and report back, if anyone gets bored of my mini reviews I will stop posting. :p

Oh and where is best sainburys or Asda?

Ok so I got carried away, and yes that is samuel adams in there, however in my defence it reminds me of my holiday earlier this year so I though why not.

Also the big bottle is king Cobra, mmmm.

I had a pint of Sneck Lifter in a nice bar on Saturday...mmm.

Where did you find Sam Adams? Only ever seen it in Makro. Nothing to be ashamed of there, its a bloody decent beer! Ive been to the brewery in Boston last year.

Sainsburys it was around £1-30 a bottle.

Dont know which one to have first, I am like a man in a mini beer shop. :D

I am currently drinking the Erdinger, it has a nice refreshing taste to it, however has a strange aftertaste that is taking a while to get used to.

Infact me and my mate are now looking at going to belgium for a weekend of beer, 3 nights hotel + eurostar = £150 win.

It is quite a nice lager acutally has more of a challenging taste than most of the mainstream largers, I await the flaming.

Lots of Sam Adams pubs in London, they're all good. No flaming from me.

You've a nice mix of beers there - definitely try more british pale/golden ales next time, like the badger golden champion.

St. Peter's Golden Ale and Fuller's Honeydew / Discovery are personal favourites at the moment, this will probably change :)

As a lager drinker ales scare me, makes me think of bitter and I aint a fan of bitter.:(
