Recently I have fallen in love with

-duvel
-hoegaarden grand cru
-kronenbourg blanc (long time fav)
-King Cobra
-Leffe blonde
-Leffe Triple

I also love my pills lager eg

-warsteiner
-becks

So as you can tell I like my strong drinks, although not ones that taste like white spirit.

So going off my tastes what beer from supermarkets or beersofeurope.com can or should I try, if I can get hold I will post feedback for people interested (possibly very few people but ah well )

Weihanstephan, Budvar and Erdinger might be up your street then and should be fairly easily available from supermarkets I think.

Hang on, before you buy there, places like Tescos sell the above. Weihenstephaner is a lovely wheat beer, superior to Erdinger too.

Yeah I will look around the local supermarkets, and as I work in central manchester I am sure there are good place nearby.

Desperado's!

First tasted it in France at a mexican... they kind of do it properley there. It's a light lager, with quite a bit of lemon squeezed in it and then a shot of tequilla. I love the stuff.

Only place i've ever found it is in Booths? I think it is. Only place i've seen booths is in the lake district area

I too have been working my way through the "World Beers" section at my local Tesco, and based on your list I'd suggest trying:

• Carlsberg Jacobsen Bramley Wit
• Carlsberg Jacobsen Saaz Blonde

Other than that anything by Coopers, especially their Sparkling Ale.

I find it reminds me of Leffe, in a way. Its bloody strong though. (8.5%?) My new favourite drink.
