ok is there a PSU known for being silent / near silent without smashing my budget?

When you say SSD looks ok 'i guess' is there anything wrong? i thought it was the fastest currently..

I dont know if its best around but comparing it to OCZ on anadtech it does seem good...

I dont know which PSU`s are most quietest possible.. you probably will have to google that.

Nothing said here about loud noise so I think it will be alright, actually they mention its pretty quiet. You wouldnt hear it under fans/pump noise anyway.

Yeah looks good, ASUS seems to have overall good reviews on the web... Altough RMA might be an issue. You can go for Asus Rampage IV, its 50quid more than your motherboard, but you seem to like the red asuses

Yep looks spot on. The SSD is definitely the correct choice. That is why I have ordered the same although I went for a 256GB version because I wasn't worried about the cost.

I would still personally go for this psu wise purely because it is fully modular and also gold rated:

But that's because I don't know anything about XFX apart from you need to be aware that it is only semi modular and not a full modular unit. It gets allot of good comments via a Google search though so you certainly wouldn't have any issues anyways. Just make sure you don't want a fully modular psu.

XFX are made by seasonic anyway, it will be ok. With 1 GPU I think it will not even bother turning the fan on

Well you seemed pretty stubborn on motherboard quality, and prefered ROG... But I would stick with your one, it has 8 ram slots instead of 4.

In regards to the suggested ARIVF I would suggest unless you are pushing the 5.0GHZ mark for OC you will see zero difference for the price differences.

not stubborn just preferred, ive never had one before and always used those level of Asus, just wanted one if i could get it but cant be bothered to pay £30 more for it with no advantage

That is fair enough but they are in two different classes. One is modular, one is semi. One is Silver 80+, one is Gold 80+.

I thought it was worth noting that the XFX is not fully modular but he has already mentioned that, that is not a requirement.

Have spoken to Seasonic directly before and they stated that it had the 7 year warranty same as the new Platinum series. Either way I was just wondering. XFX seem pretty good from the googling I have done and was just wanting to confirm some info since I am in need of another PSU for a different build and not needing the Seasonic cost.

Im sorry to bump up this thread again, but ive been reflecting on the build before i begin ordering and i was thining, why do i need a 3930k over a 3770k build? Whats the advantages?

I dont use SLI, i cant see me needing more than 16gb ram...

Im not ruling either out but i just need to know in what circumstance its worth spending £500 on a cpu and £200 on a mobo when i could go for a 3770k and get a rampage board for the same money...
