** Special Offer Creative Sound Blaster Titanium HD with Free Edifier R1600T**

The speakers themselves are cracking, had mine for a while now and can't fault them at all

They are a cracking pair of speakers for £60 and as a free gift. Fantastic

I had no consideration if they would fit on my desk or not. And if they do, it would be a tight fit. Do they have any other outputs. I still have 2 small Logitech speakers, was wondering if i could hook them up to it also.

Balls, I needed some 'cheap' speakers for my parents TV and missed the R1600T deal last week! (read: £60 speakers will be wasted on them, but if I can get them cheaper - no brainer!).

I'll be trawling the MM in the hope of picking up a pair! ;)

I've ordered the sound card and free speakers. Free speakers were showing on the sound card page. However only after ordering read there were no free speakers left.

Could OcUk staff please confirm the sound card is ordered along with free speakers.
Thanks
Jason

EDIT:

I've just phoned OcUK and spoken to accounts. They have confirmed the free speakers are being shipped, thanks OcUK :)

I've used onboard sound inbetween selling my Creative X-Fi, and ZXR and onboard sound is very poor in comparison, take it from someone whose used onboard and a dedicated soundcard.

You would hardly be able to tell the difference between the Creative Titanium HD and the Creative Sound Blaster ZxR that costs around £200.

I had my previous Creative X-Fi for over 5+ years so it's value well spent, it's not like the quality of the sound of these Titanium HD cards is going to ever go out of date even in 10 years time, so in the long term its a great deal.

Offer is now closed Congrats to all who decided to invest I hope you enjoy them.

and yes nelly you are correct even if you have to use 3rd party drivers in 2/3 years time they will still perform better than onboard unless something drastic happens to the tech.

Cracking deal ...would have got for my nephews build if id seen it yesterday. No use to me as I got high-end dac/amp headphones.

I already own an Asus Essence ST and as it happens some Edifier 1600's. The free Edifiers are a bonus as was looking for another pair.

I wanted another higher end card for a media PC for living room powering a Pioneer amp. Ironically the Pioneer amp has optical SPDIF in, so may only use the optical out on Titanium HD but will try the analogue in also.

I've spent a fair amount at OcUK over the years, however I've also saved a lot on promotions like this, it's always worth spending the time to check their promotions :)

Does it matter, sound wise what connector? At the moment I have the l r red and white from the speakers into the aux on the sound card, would it be better white and red to white and red? Do they take standard red, white, yellow cables. If I make any sense.

Just installed & fired mine up.......my god they sound good ! :D
Just a bit of fine tuning to do now.

Yeah those R1600Ts sound amazing - especially with a sound card, I love mine :)

That was a cracking deal by the way, shame I already had these speakers otherwise I'd probably have gone for this deal for the hell of it.

you could use rca out to rca on the speakers and then use the jack for your headphones.

Other than that it doesn't really matter
