** Special Offer Creative Sound Blaster Titanium HD with Free Edifier R1600T**

If it wasn't for the fact I bought a sound card last week (Asus DGX, I know, not even in the same league) I would have went for this.

Oh well, I came out strong and fought the Upgrade Virus.

not gibbo's deal :P was running for over 24 hours.

Might do another one one day who knows.

Please do it for more than 10 units, or do the Edifiers for sub £50 again Twst! My life feels woefully incomplete without their sonic beauty! :(

Once my order was dispatched I also received an email with an invoice with an extra lines for the speakers. If you didn't get that I guess something went wrong. Hopefully they'll sort you out.

hi guys, can someone advise me please, I have just ordered this for my dad and speakers are amazing. however, they do lack a little bit of very deep bass and would like to add a subwoofer. can someone please advise on how to do this? can it only be done with an optical cable, what kind of sub would work and how would I make the connections?

I was wondering if I had to use optical for the sub alone, and then left and right phono connections for the edifier speakers I wondered if this would work? *** Please don't link to items which are similar to those sold by OcUK ***

(ok so the link above was a sub woofer with optical in input and also rca input)

many thanks

Titanium HD is so specialised that you don’t even have the option of analogue surround sound. The back of the card is home to two pairs of stereo phono ports, one of which is an output while the other can serve as an analogue line input, or be reconfigured as an optical S/PDIF input and output. There’s also a dedicated headphone output and microphone input.

So unless you got a sub that takes optical it's not directly possible you would have to go from the SC to a splitter to create a second channel which you could then lead to an active sub woofer. for a second opinion you could ask in sound city or message creative.

Cheers Mate, Does the Soundcard support output through RCA and AUX at the same time?

probably not, I have a different Creative soundcard and it's one or the other.

Thank you

Funny you mention this.

This is a bit around the houses, but i'm currently running 2 passive R1600T speakers connected to a Edifier S530 - basically I've replaced the 2 mid range speakers with the 2 passive 1600T's.

The result is something that sounds better then either the standard R1600T's and standard s530 setup. If Edifier put this combination together as standard and providing price was competitive I predict it would be a winner :)
