By "one of the better" I can only assume you mean "the best".
Because it clearly is. There really isn't any room for debate on that point.
That's not how opinions work.
Skyfall is still the best one

Totally confused and a bit of a rant...
OK, so the old dude in his crocs with no socks has me scratching my head.
When I first heard him speak in the film as he sat down in the meeting, I thought "aha, its number 1 from thunderball etc", who may or may not also be later known as Blofeld in future films.
Now to make things clear, I haven't watched QoS much and have very few memories of CR except it being 2 hours of poker playing so I may have missed critical need to know information.
"Waltz" is being referred to as a name I have not heard before anywhere in the 007 films, but then says that he is Blofeld? Blofeld was crippled in OHMSS and then dropped down a chimney from a helicopter in the FYEO opening credits - who is this croc wearing, retired man really?!
Besides his drill machine, he hardly seems the megalomaniac from the past, but rather another unmemorable bond villain as of late and just another emotional character. He kill his father because Bond was getting more attention? Sounds like a Facebook unfriending argument with some Star Wars mixed in for effect.
The look Connery gave in his eyes could have killed on its own, with Craig it seems more like a schoolboy about to cry from being bullied than a veteran 00 agent.
As for the overall film, the most memorable part for me was the intro song which isn't even all that good.
The big assassin henchman who seemed like the best SPECTRE had to offer? Fugly actor who barely left an impression throughout the film and gave Bond very little trouble.
Christ even the politically incorrect duo of Mr Wint and Mr Kidd caused him more of a hassle!
When I heard the name of the bond film was SPECTRE I was feeling very optimistic about them re exploring the earlier missions and finally fixing some loose ends but after watching it, has left me even more confused. I have hoped for a return to the origins of 007 and some retro villains to battle but have been left bitterly disappointed.
When Q is scanning the spectre ring for prints/dna, only the villains since CR show up. Surely if this is a ring that has been passed thru the spectre ranks, it should have many more dating back from previous films. How hard would it have been to give a little nod to the past and list a few of the Thunderball villains for example in the climax of photos being stuck to the building about to blow?
There was also some lines between Bond and "Blofeld" about their history and IIRC it was only about 20 years old which would put it about the time of GoldenEye's release - many years since his certain death in FYEO. Now this is just a film I know and the original 60's 007 should long be retired and Blofeld possibly dead of old age, but to completely ignore all references of previous events really annoyed me.
007 drives off in his original DB5 yet bares no memory of anything since.
Even the dialogue of how Bonds women all end updying, only dated back to Vespa from CR.... Jill Masterson, Aki, or even the bitter turning point in Bond's life of Tracy Bond, Blofeld was even there when she died, hello??
If they were using an Iconic organisation from the Bond lore which dated all the way back when the baddies were SMERSH, for god sakes don't ignore everything just because it didn't feature Daniel Craig! They didn't in previous films between Bond actors, so why do it now?
For me, these latest Daniel Craig films share the name of the franchise but little else - all the lore of Bond is ignored and all events seem to start from CR creating a parallel 007 timeline which seem more like a Bourne film than a Bond.
In my own opinion, Bond should have stopped time jumping as soon as the Sovet Union collapsed, they were the need for his creation and the gadgets at the time suited his character. Microchip trackers in his blood? No thanks.
I doubt I will watch another.

I think you would be less confused if you realised that Casino Royale was effectively a reboot of the series, hence the whole storyline of him becoming 007 in that film.
Radiohead have just posted their version of the title track on their Facebook page. So much better than Sam Smith's!
Cannot agree with that. I like a lot of Radio heads past work and I am not a fan of Sam Smith but I do think his is the better of the 2 songs for a Bond theme. I personally feel it would have worked better having a Female singer with a more dynamic range singing it though.
