What car do you drive Firestar, I'll race you anyday and I'll beat you son. And if I lose I'll knock you out.

Ahaha, that a threat :p

I will be so long gone you will never ever catch me in your poxy micra.

**** sake it's welcome day for next years new students at college, I wish they'd tell us if a lessons going to be cancelled, I waste so much petrol going in only to be told it's cancelled and coming home again.

I never actually said my BEAST can do 60 in second, it tops out on the redline at just past 40mph in second :)

i can see your point

can cost me about £5 in fuel to get to college and back, especially if spittals is bad (hell junction on the A14, anyone know it?)

This thread is the most ridiculous load of rubbish ive ever read :/

Whats the point in discussing performance stats for cars like saxo's and micra's?

@ Mike: you say your MR2 felt stable at 150mph, lies i tell you! Do you not find the front end feels like its about to take off?

Put me down on the idiot list, Iam fairly sure I can get the micra to 60 in under 10 seconds if you will allow me to say 56mph is 60 since it cant quite make 60 without doing a gear change from second.
I dont have a gmeter but if someone will loan/pawn me one I can do a photo :D

bhp per ton is probably a good indicator of 0-60 roughly, the old 1.3's were in the region of 100 I believe and dont forget the supermarch with supercharger and turbocharger as stock and you might be surprised still..

And yet there is more :D

I wont argue that nippy means fast though, because little cars with high bhp/ton still lose at high speed/ levels of air resistance

say 56 cos 60 requires a gear change?

quite a few cars out there would be a fair bit quicker to 60 if they could do it in 2nd

if you want to do a proper 0-60 and your car cant do 60 in 2nd, then you need 3rd, theres no way around it, i have to nail a ninja fast 2nd to 3rd in mine to get 60, but theres no other way to do it ;)

BWHAAHAHHAHHHAHAHHAHHAH what the hell is that
:D

HEADRAT

That is your worst nightmare, a giant killer :D

If 3rd gear is used then I estimate 11 seconds I guess, I've had someone time me but its still not exactly accurate.
I think the 1.6 Vti Civic has the same problem with gears, on paper it looks slower then the 1.8 because of the gear change but really its just as fast.

Not quite a shed..

The Nissan Micra is a slow car. Very slow. It's a milk float with seats and less functionality. I could knit a jumper in less time it takes a Micra to get from 70mph to 90mph.

Please stop.

:p

But lets be honnest, your knitting skills are well know and touted to be some of the best on the intraweb.

Also back on the 0-60 shed situation, no you can't call 56 - 60mph cause it isn't ;)
