Speeding in a shed!

That Micra posted runs a 265 bhp 350Z lump where the back seats should be, made by Nissan themselves. Impressive, but it's still an ugly duckling on steroids.

I personally couldn't drive anyhting lesser than my 206. It's not exactly safe but more so than a Saxo or an older shed of the like.

One of my main worries about cars is how resistant to impact it is. I'd rather have a safer slower car than a faster shed. Seen too many serious accidents that have happened at slow speed and I have seen some cars made into a real mess whilst being hit while stationary by another vehicle travelling around 30mph.

My 1.4 206 will pull 60mph in 2nd, but it does hit 6000rpm at that point which is not too healthy for it.

To the bloke with the Micra, you're mad!! Have you tried braking hard from 100? How does it manage?

I regularly cruise around 100, but imho my car is perfectly safe at those speeds assuming the conditions are good, and I'm not on it's limit.

To give you an idea, I don't for a moment consider my car "fast", but I consider it reasonable and a fairly competent cruiser - this vid shows some motorway speeds. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjiRyCVH6UE

My Micra is now legendary

Can I just say, I would certainly consider your car fast :) very nice, is that the latest shape mondy or like fox's? Is it an ST? I assume it is because it's a V6.

What speeds you pushing there I can't really tell, 140mph?

What I wanna do is get a mount in the interior roof for my proper video camera and do some real performance driving and perfect quality, that'd be immense.

It's a 2002 Mk3, so the newer shape.

No, It's a Ghia X so has all the gadgets but none of the sporty bodykit.

Change into 5th at about 130, but dont accelerate much after that as I was approaching a car ahead (you can see me flash my high beam as he was in the overtaking lane for no reason, but he didn't budge so I cut the video short there as no point showing me slow down!!).

Dayum Headrat, didn't realise it was you who owns the black Z4, v. nice v. nice.

Would love to see some videos of that 0 - 60 :)

Its not like the Z3 then, 110bhp with 1.5 tonnes for the bling barge effect :p

I think it's most certainly dangerous to go fast in a shopping trolley or a van. They're not designed for high speed cruising. This is even more obvious when the whole car begins shaking at 90+ and the speedo runs out at 100.

I dont think micra drivers giving the car the ultimate force is much to worry about, its micras drivers giving it the ultrimate force around any sort of corner that would scare the bejesus out of me just watching!

Its amazing the difference a decent proformance car sticks to the round and goes round a bend as opposed to flibble flobbles into a corner.

roof of your living room whilst playing Gran Turismo?

you cant seriously use the word performance and micra in the same sentance without adding - none, poor, limited, dreadful etc..

micras are great NCB earners but they never ever ever ever will be perfomance cars regardless of how you dress them up.

Hahaha I know this mate.

I was actually serious though what I meant was just booting the **** out of it like I do on a daily basis, just would be cool to get some video footage. Certainly not a fast car but I can carry speed through corners :)
