This is why I've stopped using my Origin B2. Better to use your eyes than rely on a flawed piece of tech.

was around the corner mate, so couldn't have seen it until it was too late

Plus my tomtom did not pick it/warn me about it.

Score another one for the benefits of using your eyes and brain rather than a Tom Tom for spotting cameras :D

Excessive speeding on a bend, you're just asking for trouble and 95 in a 60 zone is way too fast IMO.

95 is perfectly safe in many 60 zones. Infact there is a stretch of dual carriage way near me that is perfectly safe at 95 when conditions allow, and that is a 50. Without having seen the road or bend in question, how can you be sure it wasn't safe?

i always thought the truvelo flash was outside of the visible spectrum.
i didn't realise you can actually see the thing go off.

Im 99% sure ive seen it, more than once. It was like an ultra violet colour.

The purple flash is actually quite bright. A motorbike set one off just in front of me before.

I did say 'in my opinion' If you're happy doing almost double the speed limit then thats fine, just don't do it when I'm on the same stretch of road. :p

Thats not for you to judge CHILD KILLER! :p ;)

My uncle got a 12 month ban for 90 in a 60. Hopefully you will be luckier. :)

Why not?

I did say when conditions allow (dry road, little or no traffic). Why wouldn't you want to be on the same stretch of road? Would you say the same if it were a motorway? (Remember, I'm talking about a dual carriage way which has a central reservation and crash barriers).

My point is the posted speed limit isn't always appropriate for the road, and that can work both ways (too fast or too slow).

Of course it's for me to judge, I'm the person behind the wheel.

BTW I know that comment was tonge-in-cheek, but I wanted to respond anyway ;)

Look, I'm no angel and of course I do over the speed limit occasionally, I just think 95 MPH is a bit excessive in a 50 MPH zone. Call me old fashioned. :D

That's fair enough, but you think it's excessive because of the numbers on the sign, not because of your own judgement when seeing the road yourself.

I don't see how anyone can call any speed 'excessive' without seeing the road itself, and the conditions.

Like I said, I'm old fashioned, I do use the speed limit signs as some sort of guide. ;)

LOL, I was hoping for a long drawn out OcUK motors argument :(
