Spider-Man (PS4)

My copy was delivered from Shopto today as well. I'm really enjoying it so far, having played for about two hours. It's one of those games that is pretty easy to get into, you can beat up the base enemies fairly easily, but once they start mixing up the enemy types things get more difficult and you have to be a bit more measured in your approach. I started by button bashing but I think more about what I'm doing during combat now. Graphically it's pretty impressive. I think GoW and HZD are still the most visually impressive games I've played on the Pro, but this isn't too far behind.

The web swinging mechanics are really well done and you can move at quite a pace around the city once you get used to the controls. All-in-all I'm impressed.

How’s the hdr? Is the game as good as it was made out to be on the demos or is it indeed less impressive visually? Getting it tomorrow so looking forward to get stuck into it. Will be dissapointed if it’s not up there with GOW, HZD, or ACO as I enjoy to be wowed visually.

It’s not as good as HZD or GOW but it’s close and it runs nice and smooth too. Considering you are swinging around an open active world it looks pretty darn good. HDR is present and works well.
 
Does this game make the Pro sound like a jet plane?!

Worst game for me and my Pro is No Mans Sky. Also GT Sport rendered menu scenes and Uncharted 4 loading screens strangely...

It makes the fan in mine ramp up a fair bit but tbh most games that support “Pro” features do on mine.
 
I ordered the special edition for my daughter through Game and it has shipped but no tracking yet. Turns out they have used Yodel, so we might see it on Monday :eek:, shame as she had today off too.
 
Is this made by the same people that did Infamous? Looks very 'Infamousy'.

Edit: No it isn't.

I do like the look of this, ill pick it up second hand further down the road. SP games tend to drop reasonably quickly :cool:

Only played a little so far but seriously impressed. Web slinging is so smooth and fun and at ground level NYC is buzzing with people and cars.

My pro fan ramps up as well, more so in cut scenes.

I'm one of those guys who'll dive straight into the hardest difficulty usually, but with this, I gave it a go and it just didn't seem all that fun, so went back down to medium and am just enjoying it a whole lot more, PLUS it is still quite a challenge in some fights when you're getting mobbed.

I think the key is not to button bash and be ready on the dodge button at all times :D
