Spiders

Could be true because they're the only type I've seen here.
I can confirm it's true. As soon as I saw the first house spider wrapped up in a ball of web, I just left the cellar spiders to do their thing, as they don't bother me too much. Since then, I've seen more house spiders wrapped up in balls than wondering around my house, that's even at the height of mating season.

I will generally leave the smaller ones. But my kids always ask me to remove the larger ones, otherwise their mum kills them. So I've become quite adept at catching and removing them over the years.

I've got loads of those cellar daddy long legs ones around but hardly see the big house spiders.

The cellar type do leave annoying webs for you to walk into though

At least you dont get Black widows and brown recluse there. No matter how much i spray i keep finding black widows in my garage.

Get a free pass in my house. We're rural so loads of critters about and they keep a lid on some of the numbers.

They're not the best tenants in the world, but the pros definitely outweigh the cons.

Warning: link contains closeup of spider on spider action.

They seem to be able to catch the house spiders even when they're carrying their babies!

I have to rescue them otherwise the cats eat them!

No really big ones yet, just loads around that sort of size.
