The missus just went up to bed and this beast is staring at her, she went to get it but he went up under the plastic, any ideas what kind of spider this is?

My child is 3 1/2 and totally obsessed with spiders, can even tell everyone she's an aracnophile !
She has done wonders for for my fear of spiders ( and swimming!)
I've gone from Jesus Christ nuke it from orbit to looking at them with interest, can't stand them surprising me still however !
We take her to snakes and adders pet shop in Sheffield and they sometimes get a tarantula out for her to hold, she keeps wanting one as a pet and we have agreed that if she still loves them in a year we will get one, wife's friend is also an aracnophile and has said she would help/ditto the pet shop who are great.
Caught 2 very big spiders within the last week, the largest I've seen for years tbh. 1 was only spotted thanks to my dog and it was in the bedroom so had probably shared many a night with me, eww. Both were put safely into my garden, will try everything possible not to kill them.
Literal tarantula in our living room the other day. Could hear it scuttling along even on carpet. Obviously I'm exaggerating with the tarantula description but it was an abomination and it went to the green woodland area across the road pronto.
What are these spider catchers people recommend? Link pls x
Was getting the bike out for work yesterday morning and had one hand on the handlebars and one hand on my front gate. Just happened to glance at the gate because I missed the catch and noticed what can only be described as a spawn of Shelob sitting there looking very angry. Had my gloves on and my phone was in my backpack so couldn't get a picture, but by God it was a beast.
I took a load of crap from the garden to the tip a couple of weeks ago or so. A few days later the wife and I were driving down an A road and a massive spider starts dangling down from my interior mirror. I'm absolutely ******** myself and trying not to crash I didn't even know spiders that big could dangle from a web like that. We pull over when it's safe but the spider has gone...
Didn't see the the bugger untill yesterday when I was on the motorway and he fell off the radio and scuttled under my seat.
My car is slowly getting more and more spider webs in it and I've gone round with the hoover a million times but he only comes out when I'm on a fast road lol.
Whilst I can appreciate I'm a wimp, I'm pretty scared tbh and my stress levels are so high driving to work now. I'm honestly scared I'm going to crash the next time it pops up.
I'm considering getting like a bug bomb or something idk...
Had to deal with quite a number of "House spiders" this year. These are monster sized things which evoke thoughts of War of the Worlds tripods. They seem to like our bathroom mostly and lurk near the bathmat. They can't half move too. I am finding my spider catcher very useful this year.
Apparently there is an unusual number of them this year due to a mild spring.

I had one in my living room back in August this year, soon got squashed! I leave all house and daddy long-legs spiders, I read daddy long legs (cellar spiders) can pretty easily kill the false widow species of spiders.
I usually only leave the windows open for 10 minutes each day, unless I'm drying clothes inside.
I've only noticed false widows up north here in the garden over the last 10 years or so, none before that.
Had one in the bathroom a few weeks ago, possibly a house spider but was stockier so maybe a false widow... left it to be under my shower curtain folded up on the side, haven't seen it since.
I'm happy to co-exist with them, flying things annoy me (especially crane flys)
