Looks like a port of the Xbox version rather than a HD remake.

I'm hoping they release this for the 360 as well, but even more than this I want the Prince of Persia Sands trilogy.

The Entertainment Software Ratings Board is North America's primary bean-spiller, and if you're a fan of Ubisoft franchises, it dropped a big bit of cool news today. The board has rated the Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia HD re-releases for the Xbox 360.

Originally only announced for the PlayStation 3, these touched-up releases are going to find a wider audience than previous, PS3-exclusive collections such as God of War and Sly Cooper. So, if you like your gaming Microsoft-flavored, Ubi's got you covered.

With all the new titles released between now and the end of the year really not sure how I'd fit in playing all these HD remakes as well

Might pick it up one day though, missed out on the Splinter Cell series first time around

I'd like to, but I'm so behind on starting/finishing games as it is that I doubt I will/should.

Shame really because of the three, I only played the first one properly. Played a bit of the second and only the demo of the third.

The PS2 graphics still look half decent to me. Wouldn't mind picking this up, I really enjoyed Pandora Tomorrow. I'm a big fan of stealth games, it makes you feel like such a badass when you take down enemies without them knowing you're there.

Definitely picking this up. 1st game = amazing, Pandora Tomorrow = good but not as good as the 1st one and Chaos Theory = amazing.

Completely agree, Pandora was a bit weak compared, but the other two are superb, I still have the xbox originals!

Wondered what happened to this game, went all quiet, looking forward to it! Hope it is released on the xbox too though, prefer to play it on there than my PS3!

Chaos Theory was THE best Splinter Cell ever made. Such a good franchise up until that point.

Double Agent just wasn't as good and conviction...well..that's a different game entirely.

This was the game that made me want an original Xbox.

I loved Double Agent... was probably my best Splinter Cell actually. But yeah, Conviction was complete tripe, and has no right in calling itself "Splinter Cell"!

I'm not denying Double Agent wasn't good, just that Chaos Theory was soooo blindingly good that i expected more!

Still am yet to pick up Conviction. Only played a few levels of it when i borrowed it.

My sentiments exactly, if I wanted to play an all out action game I would have picked up one of the millions that already exist!

I believe that if Conviction was a completely different franchise all together (no connection with Splinter Cell) it may have been a good game, but for me it was just a desecration of a great series.

I agree. As a game it was okay, as a Splinter Cell game though it was quite poor. It's hard to choose my favourite but I did really enjoy Double Agent.
