I always assumed Andy Townsend was double-jointed given the amount of bending over backwards he does to defend pet players.

If I recall one of them was an awful, awful, injury-risking challenge by some English player just before the world cup, and he was full of it and spouting on about how 'everyone does it'. I want to believe it was John Terry but I can't remember.
