** spoilers ** English League Football [20th - 22nd November 2010]

Babel needs to move on. It's blatantly not working for him at Liverpool. I think at one point he did have 'it' (we too were interested in him) but he never panned out.

Disappointing 2nd half. If there was ever an opportunity to kick on and win by a scoreline that would have given the whole club a lift, it was today. Unfortunately we seemed content with sticking what we had.

Messi scores again.

According to SS, he hit 19 in Jan last year and went on to get 42. He already has 20 (now) in mid November.

edit - If you guys think the 'Pool/W Ham game is like a practice match, then watch Barca/Almeria...2-0 with barely a drop of sweat.

Make that 3-0 31mins gone...Barca just ripping them apart.

All this has shown is the almost complete reliance of Liverpool on Torres. God knows what would happen to that team if he left

He only had a hand in one of the goals today. Yes, we rely on our best striker, but basing that statement on today's game is quite a leap.

LOL make that 5-0...Messi with his 100th goal in La Liga....geezus christ almighty that Messi is something else:eek:

Just brutal from Barca...everytime they get the ball it looks like they are going to score at will...

West Ham sans Parker are just not going to cut it, really Jacobsen, Kovac aren't anywhere near good enough, but everyone else is playing like they are carrying injuries, which half of them are.

If anyone remembers Ilunga 2 years ago, he was one of the best left backs in the league, similar in style to Cole, he bombed forwards at every opportunity, played with the left winger brilliantly, played the overlap, good delivery. He looks like he can barely move, not sure he got up the field more than once all game, just looks an entirely different player.

How much is fitness, injury, confidence for most of the players on the team is hard to know, no squad depth, spending big money on Dyer, Dean Ashton, Collison and Behrami sustaining very bad injuries that seem to have very badly effected their careers now. Incredible bad luck to be honest when one squad gets that many injuries and basically none have made it back to their old selves and look like they might not be able to.

Why the 4-5-1 I don't know, like Wenger this playing strikers as wingers just isn't working AT ALL. But again thats more down to injuries this and last season than wanting to play strikers as wingers. Behrami, Noble, Parker, Collison 2 years ago were absolutely fantastic, but all have sustained injuries, 2 of them very long term very bad injuries. If they can get those 4 fit, and playing at their best, they can shoot up the league, if they can't they are in serious trouble.

AS for Liverpool and Hodgson, vastly improve performance all around, Poulsen didn't look bad at all, Raul is looking better by the game, Johnson actually looked far more disciplined in defence, was in line with his defence when it mattered, but how much was being up against a lone, not fit, no confidence striker with little delivery is hard to say.

3 points off 4th now, how terrible he is right ;)

Barca make it 6 with Bojan getting in on the act....absolute thumping for Almera...feel sorry for them...they are getting mauled pretty hard.
