Which is exactly what I said earlier. In the summer the rules need to change and everyone be made aware of the change
and even if he was swearing while talking to a Referee, thats not a yellow card offence BEHAVE, I"M BORED OF ALL THE CRAP THIS WEEKEND

A:- Because they dont have any choice, if the Referee has decided he took the appropriate action then article 77 says that is that.
B:- Becuase it brings the game into disrepute be slagging off the ref in public, you bring into question his integrity in a public forum.
Exactly the same law that has seen Gerrard, Terry, Song, Brown, Bowyer etc etc etc all escape lengthy bans.
I was just joking before, but what does this really mean? That I've been nice to you recently or not nice? I couldn't work it out, also can't remember conversing/quoting you for weeks (before today) so I'm not sure what you're referring to!
The main point is how is joking about a bad ref performance worse than something bordering on assault. I'm sure most level headed people realise that they've got their priorities massively out of whack
Also, they make the rules, there's always a choice, like when Ben Thatcher got a yellow card for nearly killing somebody which turned into an 8 match ban promptly after the game

Mom jokes are kind of OTT though, playground stuff, if you're going to abuse someone do it properly.

The followed the rules in that case, as the referee had made a serious error.

I believe the ref has made a serious error here too, it's a red card offence which he hasn't punished at all. Was it even a foul to Wigan?
