Interesting on talksport this morning re: Rooney elbow.

Spoke to someone from the FA, ex "enforcement officer" what ever that means and now assistant in the young development department.

Basically said, reading between the lines somewhat:

FA can take no action because ref "reviewed" the incident and thought his actions were proper for the incident.

FA wont / didnt make him watch video replay to help him 'review' because they were worried of potential legal action taken against the FA by Man United regarding their rules on not re-officiating a game.
 
There's no reason mods shouldn't be allowed to post, as long as they moderate fairly. I have wondered a couple of times whether that is the case (especially with stuff like the Neville thread being deleted) but I don't think it's a big problem.
 
I just treat mods as normal members, which is why, in the past, I may have suggested Gilly was a fan of whips, chains and fluffy paddles.

ah just did a search, do you mean the one about his retirement ?

if so it seems it was closed, it wasn't by me ( I assume you think it was ) but I can find out why if you want

There was a Neville thread when he retired which was already being talked about in another thread anyway.

The Neville thread descended into crap with in about 6 posts so it was pointless leaving it open for people to **** each other off but Shami's got the arse because it was closed.
 
it looks like it was closed as a mod thought it was a repost, someone posted a link to it being discussed in the transfer thread

I agree the standalone thread should have stayed, albeit with a clean up of some of the crap

This is where I am coming from though, what appears to have been a genuine mistake by a none SA Don has been construed as moderating bias
 
You all need to remember that unless a mod is doing moderating he's posting as a member.

Except Rotty. Right **** that one.

Woah, woah. I never said I thought it was you. Just that it was heavy handed moderation with no explanation and some might construe it as bias. I wasn't making any personal accusations against you :)
