**SPOILERS** Football 26th Feb - 2nd Mar 2011

It is shocking when professional footballers get away with elbows in a game that haven't been seen by the referee. I can see a 4 match ban for Evra coming up.

I expect the media/MoTD witch hunt to get their man purely because it is Wayne Rooney.

Although some people do get away with these incidents.

I don't even remember that being discussed by the media let alone the FA committee :/

I think Gerrard got a commendation for that did he not?

And unlike Rooney's, Gerrard looks like he is actually running toward the guy and trying to hit him.

But that's Brown

THought you would like him seeing being hit after this

:D

McCarthy is a sound lad :(

Browns a little **** yeah but come on it's difficult to sling insults when your players are guilty of exactly the same :/

And rightly so, Brown's a ****!

And are you trying to say the Rooney incident wasn't intentional? :o

edit: and not that it matters but Brown actually ran across Gerrard obstructing him, which lead to the 'elbow'. It was more of a forearm tbh :p

It was intentional alright, much the same a Saint Stevie's, the difference being McCarthy is deliberately trying to stop the run of Rooney and got a clip round the ear for his troubles.

Brown is running away from Gerrard and he sprints to catch up to him and lamp him. (look for the wider angle of the incident)

Far more intent but don't let that cloud everyones judgement, lets see how many games Rooney's banned for first.

If you actually watch the whole Gerrard incident you'll see that Gerrard is breaking forward and Brown runs across his path.

edit: there you go :p

Are you serious? No one runs with their arms at waving around at head height!

Yes I am serious. How does Brown running across Gerrard's path have anything to do whether Gerrard elbowed him or not though?

G|mp and Shami are trying to say that Gerrard chased after Brown so he could hit him, that's BS. Brown ran across Gerrard to obstruct him and then Gerrard hit him :p

This. McCarthy is trying to make contact with Rooney off the ball, Rooney pushes him out of the way. McCarthy instigated it by trying to foul Rooney.

Has the fact that McCarthy was trying to obstruct Rooney been debated?

All I've seen is Rooney be slated for elbowing him and then you and G|mp claim Gerrard chased Brown all game in an attempt to take his head off :p

Well people seem to be suggesting that Rooney was the only offender.

Nobody's suggested that at all

This has all started because Rotty said Rooney was a disgusting example of a human being. We don't even know whether he was talking about the elbow incident, that's just 1 of several reasons why he might think that. You only have to look at a picture of Rooney to draw that conclusion ;)
