Noticed there was no thread, Blackburn taking a big step away from relegation at West Ham and City taking one towards Champions League football currently.

Was just looking for this, thanks for sorting it out:)

Looks like city will grab 4th today, was hoping the hammers would do it but they are as good as down now too :(

nice little build up today followed by three really interesting back to back matches tomorrow. With City losing its going to make the match with Tottenham on Tuesday massive!

Man City will still get Champions League football though won't they?

They need 1 win from their remaining games I believe and if they win the FA Cup they'll almost certainly get it against Stoke (as Stoke will need City to come 4th to get into the EL as FA Cup runners-up).

edit: Actually, if they lose to Spurs they may need 5 more points. It's meaningless though as Spurs will lose to Liverpool next weekend so 1 win will still be enough for City ;)

That's not right though is it? I thought the Fa announced a few weeks ago that the runner up in the cup will not get the EL spot, that instead it would go to 6th in the league.

Edit : ah wait no, that's if city win the cup and finish 5th

Yea, only if City finish 5th. Really odd ruling and with City playing Stoke in the league a few days after the FA Cup final, Stoke are going to find themselves in a very difficult situation if they lose the FA Cup.
