Yeah it will mean that if stoke lose the cup, then it will be in stokes interests to throw the match against city in the league in order to assure they get the qualification for Europe.

What if the FA decided stoke threw the game or fielded a very weakened side , +B from EL ? :confused:
 
Trust me Pulis will not want to be playing in the EL next season. So any questions of us throwing the game to get in are rubbish. Think playing in the EL will be a bad thing for us

So if stoke don't want to be in Europe next season , does that mean they will throw the cup instead because winning it puts them in Europe? :)

I bet the EPL/FA are that City beat Spurs midweek to wrap up 4th before the FA Cup final.

It's nigh on impossible to prove a team 'threw' a game and fielding a weakened team wouldn't result in punishment that severe (plus they'd have an excuse for doing so with the final only being a few days earlier).

If (and it's a huge if) Stoke decided they were going to let City win to ensure they qualified for the EL, an agreement could easily be reached with City where by nobody could prove anything untoward happened.
