***SPOILERS*** Football 7 May - 10 May 2011

Because he refused to accept Shawcross' apology for the tackle. Which, to be fair, is a toolish thing to do since the injury was clearly not intended and Shawcross was obviously pretty upset about it.

Agree about the tackle but you can understand why Ramsey had the hump ;)

The way some Arsenal fans have made Shawcross out to be some sort of monster on the back of that tackle and the way Stoke fans are now booing Ramsey, is stupid though.

Hahaha that was terrible defending. Jones actually walked the ball into the goal then.

Why on earth did RVP come off the post like that, and what was Gibbs doing? Hilariously bad.

Yup, typical Arsenal fan.

There was no malice in the Shawcross tackle last season, he had a right to go for the ball and showed obvious remorse for all to see straight after the incident. If Whitehead had his leg broken there would you still be saying lol wilshire?

Enjoy another season of consistent underachievement..

Are you a Stoke supporter? Enjoy your mid table obscurity. :)

Arseshavin is having a howler. Sold in the summer.

6 goals and 11 assists, so no.

It's all a bit pantomime. I sympathise a lot more with Ramsey than Shawcross and I would complete excuse him if he had told Shawcross to **** off immediately following the incident. Hours and days later though is time to be the bigger man and accept the apology, no excuses.

"One nil to the rugby team" being chanted by the Stoke fans, are they actually proud of how they play? :(

They play to their strengths. Better than passing it around prettily and losing.

I can't believe that the Shawcross tackle is still being discussed to be honest, it was a poor challenge but not malicious. There are worse tackles every week, it was just unlucky. Obviously what happened to Ramsey was terrible, but Shawcross shouldn't be vilified for it, particularly not a year on.

It could be better, it could be worse. You have to look at it with perspective though, three years ago we got promoted to the premier league, 8 years ago we escaped relegation to league one on the last game of the season. Now we're competing with teams like arsenal chelsea manchester city etc and are in an FA cup final for the first time in our history. I'd rather us play the ugliest football in the world and compete in the prem rather than play tippy tappy football and be sitting in league one
