***SPOILERS***(Real) Football 01-05 Apr 2010/2011

Makes no difference. The rule isn't whether you're the last man or not. It's whether you're denying a clear goalscoring opportunity. The fact that Ba never had control of the ball and was running away from goal, I can't see how it can be deemed that Vidic denied a clear goalscoring opportunity.

Again rubbish, you know players can change direction, no one was close enough, including the keeper, Ba could have gone and got the ball then, I dunno, turned towards goal(hardly a massive turn either) then, like, I dunno, SHOT. Also people have been known to shoot from and angle and even score.

Had he not been taken down he WOULD have got the ball and WOULD have had a chance to score, hence, goal scoring opportunity, infact its an incredibly obvious goal scoring opportunity.

No surprise the game is going the way it is.

Away from home, Gibson, Park, Valenica and Giggs playing.
You can carry one, mabye two of them away from home, but all four of them giving the ball away, over hitting crosses, conceeding fouls and generally not being very good, you just cant carry.
Gibson off, Giggs off, Nani and Berbatov/Hernandez on, and just punt it into that crap West Ham defence.

Valencia has been by far our best player.

I saw it a bit different :)

It looked to me like Ba had turned Vidic and was going to be clean through, last man, stopped Ba getting in to the box. should have been a red imho, Vidic got very lucky.

Anyway :)

I guess fouling maxi on the goal line would be a yellow then:D

It's painful watching gibson play, he is utterly useless.

Man utd need some serious investment in the summer. The only good thing about today is valencia is back and he is playing pretty well so far.

Nani + hernandez on for giggs and gibson

Has he? The two chances he has had to put a united player through on goal he has passed straight to a west ham player.
He hasnt taken a shot on, he hasnt driven into the box, he hasnt got a cross anywhere near a team mate, he has turned into trouble three or four times for no reason what so ever, and is generally back to his old self from last year where he spent a great deal of the game being ******* rubbish.

Saying that though, he still doing better than the other three chumps I mentioned.
As for Carrick, there just are no words.

Man Utd are losing the battle in CM again, I think everybody knows that they're quite weak there and if you play with a high tempo you can bypass them quite easily, the hard bit is getting past the defence, but Vidic and Evra gave away two crazy penalties and helped West Ham massively.

Man Utd's attacking today seems to be limited to give it to Valencia and hope somebody gets on the end of a cross, the thing with Valencia is he has good technique on his crosses but he always seems to aim for a good area rather than specifically for a man, which means his cross conversion isn't as good as it could be, but obviously if somebody gets on the end of one it's usually a goal

On the red, at first I thought it was an obvious red, but looking at the replay, you'd bet on the keeper to get there first so yellow was right

I just don't get why we're resting players for Chelsea (especially players that won't play)

Why not try and win the competition that we have an excellent chance in? Lets face it, it would take a miracle for us to win the Champions League.

The league should be the only consideration every year, cup competitions are a bonus and nothing more.
As you have said, there is no chance what so ever we will win t he champions league, should we get past chelsea (doubtfull) anyone who would then suggest we are at all capable of competing with say........ Barcelona, should be sectioned.

West Ham absolutely turned Liverpool over a few weeks ago too - I think they are a better side than their league position suggests.

He's been our only player looking to actually get behind their defence, has put some good crosses in (Rooney hasn't helped by being useless and unwilling to make a decent run in the box) and tracked back well.

They are, going forward.

Defensively, despite their recent 4 clean sheets, they are hopeless, getting after them and putting them under pressure is the way to beat them.
