Because like EUropa the best teams aren't in it, until this season, the top 8-10 teams generally only bother putting out a youth team.

Sorry but while the players wear the same shirt, winning a champs league final against a Barcelona B team because the entire first team got sick, really isn't the same, its still a cup, its still good, but what happens if thats how you get to the cup final aswell, if no one bothered putting out their best team in the champs league, it would also be a joke.


I saw someone say, as a pretty good idea, that anyone already in Europe should be excluded from the Carling cup, meaning someone outside the normal top 6 would get a chance of Euro football, and it gives those already in Europe one less cup to have games in, better all around.

THe situation is, the best teams simply don't try in this competition, its quite literally the best of the rest. Its not like thats a bad thing, but you can't say "we beat everyones best team" to get to the final.

Excellent, was hoping for that lineup or with Bentdner to start. Arshavin has to pull up his socks today. Great chance for Rosicky. The big worry with Theo and Cesc out was that Diaby or Denilson would start.
