**SPORE**

If you are "trying" the game, are you not missing out on all the user created mumbo jumbo?

The user created mumbo jumbo is fairly irrelevant to the experience of the game surely? All it is is other planets in the galaxy with AI driven colonies of other players creatures as opposed to randomly generated creatures.

Played this most of last night, and its great. Not got into space as of yet, but have reached the civilisation age. I love attacking the other cities with a load of fighter planes, the one I created have B5 style cutting lasers :D

Ok, that's pretty funny...I go to take a gift to an already allied tribe, and my farmers for some reason all go along and they get slayed.

So now I have no tribe left. Awesome. Some nice logic there, gj spore.

Good reviews all round, just a few hardcore gamers have expected something more from the game. I have followed it for a while and I believe that it has delivered on all aspects that it promised. Gameplay is meant to be marmite, but that's the same with many games these days. Some people are looking for the next CIV game, when really this is just watered down for the masses to enjoy.

Take it or leave it, but please make your own mind up :)

Played this last night for a couple of hours, so far, pretty boring. I'm at the tribal stage now, please tell me it get's more interesting?

IGN review of Spore is pretty spot on, picks up on the kinda minigame feel but also highlights the games good points.

8.8/10

Spore, then, is an infinite toy box. It’s not really what anyone thought Spore would be, and again there’s that nagging sense that it needs an expansion pack or two to plug a few holes (specifically, to expand what you can do on those planets once you’ve finished tinkering with them), but God, the scale of the thing. Once you tire of space high-jinks you’ll immediately go create a new species, drag them all the way up to the top and one day, as you’re roaming another distant galaxy, you’ll stumble across a quiet little planet. You’ll fly over to see who’s there and as the communication screen flickers into life you realise with a start it’s your last species, on the planet you created for them, living in the houses you designed, nervously circling your spaceship in the starcraft you engineered. Evolution might be just a mini-game, but Spore’s eventual universe is very much a mega-game.

I couldn't care less if this game sucks or not.

It has come at a time when there is absolutely nothing to play.

For that I will shower it with praise.

Grr got a problem. Anyone elses centre it's self about 3 inches to the right. So you have a black strip on the left and the game goes of the right hand side so you can't see it.

Downloading gfx drivers now, but anyone know if this is a known problem?

Ugh, to buy or not to buy...

Is it boring? Or is it actually 'fun', don't want to play something that just ends up being the same thing everytime, just in a different stage if you understand what I mean.

:(

Mine will be delivered today (at work) and i'm definitely still looking forward to trying it. But I cant help but feel (from reviews and others comments) that every stage outside the first and last seems like a place holder for a future expansion which will flesh it out.
