Sports Arena World Cup Meet

If Liverpool finish higher than United I'll buy and wear a Liverpool shirt with Gerrard on the back.

Bit bloody extreme that mate.

19th sounds like a plan though

Can anyone recommend any good hotels & curry houses near where we are going etc

We need to start a list of names really or this thread is going to get messy like every meet thread.

Stick me down as a provisional for the 19th, I'll see what I can do about encouraging the big French dude to head along as well. If we can find a bar with a pool table too that would be good, I reckon I'm due you a game and it would give those less keen on the football something to do in-between times.

Ghana v Australia, Gp D, 15:00
Netherlands v Japan, Gp E, 12:30

I reckon we should head for these games, if YSMN wouldn't mind updating the OP with a list of provisional names that would be a good start :)

Curry houses, there aint many in brum tbh...........:p

For the better ones you'll have to venture away from Brum City Centre over to the Stratford Road type area, I'll make sure you dont get shot:p

have updated the OP to reflect those that I think have expressed an interest in attending. Apologies if I have missed you out!

Simply post after this post the words 'I am interested in coming along' and I will add your name to the list. Makes it easier than trawling through all sorts of random posts then.

In terms of hotels, I can heartily recommend the Crowne Plaza after living in it for nearly 2 years. Very close to Broad St, clean and not too expensive on weekends. Failing that there are plenty of others...
