Spurs ask for game to be replayed

Sebb Blatter stated that he would have seen no probs with the game being called off as long as all domestic fixtures were fulfilled by the 15th May.

I know it's a massive long shot but why not try.......£10m?

(Having said that Boro were deducted three points for only being able to name a squad of 14 (inc. 3 keepers) at Blackburn in 97)

Did Boro just not turn up to play?

All season I was hoping spurs would get the 4th spot and now they are just a joke...stop being petty.

I assume spurs have a nutrionist and all that type of ppl on the books, at their training centre they must have their own cooks. So then why did they leave the food prep to the hotel why not bring their own food in.

Spurs it is your fault you deal with it a season is 38 games not 1, you had plenty of chances to get a bigger lead over arsenal but you didn't so accept it.

Don't know why everyone is getting so arsey about this. Of course it's worth asking for a replay when there's £20m at stake. I'm sure they know it's a crazy longshot but it would be a disservice to everyone involved to not at least try every avenue. Besides, it's the press that's making a big deal out of it.

if they want to check all avenues go for it but he wrote an open letter he did not go about it quietly so he is gonna look like an arsene....ie a moaning ****

afaik the scenario was that they were told by the FA before the match that Boro could cancel the match if they so wished but would have to abide by the decision of an FA panel who would look into the circumstances - that panel decided that Boro had enough players available and so docked them points for not putting a team out.Spurs were given the same option on sunday - the outcome would be the same i would have thought

But we don't know if they would have moved the Arsenal game, or any other games it may of effected.

Why didn't Danny Murphy play? He wasn't ill. He didn't even come on.

Disrupting one game is bad enough, I'm guessing it must cost a lot for the clubs organisations of officials/cops etc. And then theres the fans....

If you're going to have to play with a depleted team you may aswell stick with the settled midfield with worse condition than a depleted team with one 2nd choice player. Thats the logic that was used anyway.

Murphy didn't come on because Jol chose Reid instead, he then replaced Lee with Barnard. Just in case of more exhaustions Jol I'm guessing thought best to save the final substitute (which he used in the 89th minute).

:)

If spurs are worried about looseing a potential £15-£20million they would get more joy trying to make a claim against the Hotel/catering company for loss of earnings.

Can't see how or why the game should be replayed. Apart from a rather tight schedule ahead for some players (Wesh Ham in the cup on the 13th, first England friendly game on the 30th) they played the game. If they were that ill and they should have done something about it before they stepped onto the pitch, crying to the FA after they lost is rediculious.

What a sham! - can Chelsea ask to replay their game at Barcelona as Joe Cole had the squits that night - allegedly.

Face it Spuds, you blew it.

Well I've written a letter to the FA asking if Portsmouth can play the start of their season again because we had 2 French Buffoons, 1 masquerading as a Manager the other as a Midfielder, handicapping us

Joking aside, even writing the letter has now set a dangerous precedent

All the cries of hurr hurr childish just get on with it are tedious, if your club was in the same position im sure you'd expect the club to be fighting it.

It sounds like typical FA dogma "cant be done, no we wont, we'll have a meeting and discuss, it the meeting is in 6 month time we'll let you know", type answer , brought to you by the same chaps who have just appointed McClaren.

Believe me this would not have happened if it were L'arse David Dein would have seen to that.

· 6 players had been confirmed as having suffered from either sickness and/or diarrhoea (S & D) that morning

· 2 other players had felt unwell but had not suffered from S & D

We had made an informed estimate as to how many registered players THFC had. On checking records it turns out to be as follows:

- Registered players (full contracts) 48

- Out on loan (-6)

- In on loan +1

- Scholars +9

- Total eligible to play 52

- 33 players used in the first team this season

Of the six players confirmed with S & D, only two were in the starting eleven for your last three Premier League matches.

Says it all really.

Would they be asking for it to be replayed if they finished 4th ? :o

Exaclty. They had the choice to play or postpone and risk it. They choose to play. Unlucky. Players get injured and food poising all the time, thats why you have a squad of players.
