Hey

Ive been using a conventional hard drive for many years and today installed my SSD and i am very impressed :)

The SSD i used was the Crucial C300 64GB.
I am using it on Nvidia 750a Chipset Sata 3GB

I am getting very good speeds and the write is above what is quoted on the box.

Let me know what you guys think

It is very snappy really did not expect it to load windows in seconds

Cheers

Regards Ryan

EDIT: Also using it in AHCI mode

Ive got the same SSD (64GB C300) and the seq reads on SATA 6Gb/s were around 350-60 in CrystalDisk mark.

Edit:

Id have to say the most noticable upgrade ive done is going to an SSD, and would never want to go back now.

god dammit.

your teasing me now.

You know you want to :p

Hey

Yeah you got a point
I pair my one with my maxtor drive which is about as fast as an f3 so it works very well sort get best of both

Regards Ryan

Also

Have to mention how good the OCUK service ordered the drive delivered when expected no problems DPD also estimated me a time which was spot on

Cheers Guys

want an ssd but it gets updated so much, the newest one now is only new for a month ish and then something else is around the corner!

You can tell people how good your SSD drive is and how much it improves your system performance but they will not understand until they have one :D

I love my SSD, it just makes everything feel so nice to use. Using my laptop, waiting 5 seconds for firefox to load makes me rage. :D

Hey

Looks like you have made a good choice ;)

Once you've used an SSd as many people have said you wont want to go back and ive been using a day lol :)

Regards Ryan

I've just ordered my first one, the X25-M Intel 80gb one and i hope i made a good choice.:p

Good choice...the Intel G2 is a solid good performing SSD, have had a couple of 80GB's for 12 months now and they have performed very well without any problems...

the funny thing is, someone near where I live was selling a crucial C300 64gb in the members market this morning, if I had just put a better offer in earlier, then I maybe could have had it for £80.

I got mine yesterday and have everything loaded onto it Photo shop creatice suite, music production and Video programmes with Win7 64, and the difference is unblieveable, barly a lag for anything, glad I spent the cash.
