Hey guys,
So I currently cached my 120GB OCZ Vertex 3 SSD. Only a maximum of 64GB of space is used in an SSD cache so I was wondering:

Am I able to reclaim the unused 56GB of space and partition it as a separate volume? I have tried it myself and tried researching it but I cannot find any information (so I came to you lovely people :D).

Thanks for the help!

Joe.

Yes,I'm not sure whether you need to partition or not,it might just use 64gb amd leave the rest as usable space

I think that you can just go into disk management and see the unused space there as a separate drive. Partition and format it as normal.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies, I know it was some time ago since I posted this but I have checked disk management and I still haven't managed to partition the extra 56 GB. I will try and post a screenshot of the disk management window.

You may need to disable SRT using the Intel storage manager before partitioning the SSD. Mine doesn't show up in Disk Management while SRT is active.
