Should I get a 120gb or 250gb for windows 7 any advantage speed wise? going for the bigger drive.

Also im after a 500gb ssd for my games, should I get the same make of ssd`s and last question is what make should I look at.
Thanks

I would get a 250GB for Win7 as you might find that 120GB runs out very easily. However, you are getting a seperate games drive so you could get away with one drive

Check out Crucial's MX100, BX100 and MX200 drives, as well as Samsung 850 Evo & Pro

normally with bigger SSDs you get faster read and write speeds.

for the OS I have a 250GB SSD and leaves me room if needed for programs and another for storage.

do you have a budget at all for both the SSDs?

120/128 GB is fine for some scenarios but if you want games on your SSD or a few other large applications like Photoshop, Office, etc. then I'd definitely recommend 250/256 GB.

As soon as I upgraded from 120 GB to 250 GB I installed one game to it and that was over 25 GB. :o

i installed far cry 4 and that was like 30GB so the newer games sure do eat away at the space, Call of Duty AV takes up 50gb - 55GB lol

at this size it doesn't make the 120\256GB sdds very good for games or storage

Yep, although I'd argue most games don't need to go on SSDs anyway, unless you care about shaving a few seconds off the game's launch time. They tend to be optimised for sequential reads these days.

As some others said get whatever is in your budget the larger the SSD the more it will last in most cases and the read and write speeds seem to vary between the 120 gig - 250 gig versions.

Ive been running my system with the 120gb sandisk extreme and found it great just need a bigger drive as I don't want to get a normal drive.
Money wize don't want to go to mad but if you can point me to some good makes ill take a look at them :)
