IC3 those results seem to be a lot slower than my Samsung 840 Pro, although I am running mine in performance mode.

Do you have a performance mode you can change to for your Intel drive? If so, would be helpful to see the results for that.

Any idea why there is such a difference with the 4k writes between your Intel 520 and my Samsung 840 Pro?

The SSD isnt as new a design?

let me connect it back up and do a run now ( i recently secure erased it and put it in its box)

Edit, although it will be on a Marvel SATAIII port.

I'm having a play with my system as well to see if I can increase my 4k write speeds.

Have just downloaded the most recent Intel RST Drivers and am going to disable Intel Speed Step, C1E, C-States etc in the BIOS and re-run the tests myself to see if I get an improvement.

Be back soon.....

Ok, I have some interesting results.

All I've changed since my last set of results is that I've installed the latest Intel RST Drivers (11.7.0.1013) and disabled Intel Speed Step, C1E, C-States etc in the BIOS.

Before driver and BIOS changes:

After driver and BIOS changes:

Interesting set of results following the changes I must say.

So any idea as to why my AS SSD Benchmark results have all improved except for the 4k-64Thrd write test and the CrystalDiskMark 4k QD32 tests?

I dont, but I think you will never get the same result twice as the SSD controller does its TRIM/Garbage colection role to try and keep performance high.

Ok, seems like I was having a blonde moment for a second there....helps if you remember to turn the Anti-Virus first before running the tests. Doh!

My m4 gets 186.30mb/148.89mb on the 4k-64thrd

Do only some suffer or is it a combination of other things? (Drivers, motherboard etc)
