** SSD MEGA TEST ** Want to know whats best for you? Look inside!! UPDATE 14/02/2012

Some Vertex 4 results will be great, I've already got a very full 120GB Vertex 3 as an OS & Games drive but now I'm thinking about replacing it with a 512gb Vertex 4 instead as a nice xmas present for myself. I'll just be waiting for it to appear on an offer 1st because if I do buy one it'll be on offer the very next day, I'm just that lucky :D

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! - you can't make this up I swear. I tried buying the Vertex 4 SSD last night but had a banking faff so had to buy it today instead and what happens - IT'S ON BLOODY OFFER!!!!!!!! Happily OcUK's staff were happy to cancel the "old" order and only charge me the offer price which was great but I told you it'd happen!

Guys, what is the current top performer for 256GB SSD's?
Is still M4 on top when it comes to price/performance ratio?

Will post some results this weekend/early next week for my Samsung 840 Pro 256Gb that I plan on installing this weekend.

What would you go for M4 512gb or M500 480gb?

In terms of performance I would say M500 480GB. However, if I were buying this very day, I may opt for the M4 just because of its legendary reliability (aside from 5184 hours bug). If you don't mind updating firmware in the future for performance improvements then get the M500. If you want something to plug in and forget about and don't mind leaving a bit of write performance on the table go M4.

Means yours are good,I think mines normal for a half full drive,I never tested mine on as ssd after a fresh install
